General Information:
This year is our 19th Annual Big Ass Halloween Bash. The first
18 years
have been a blast, and they keep getting better every year. This year's party will be held at the BUS (Bar at Union Station) by Minute Maid Park,
1800 Texas Ave, which is being reserved exclusively for our Halloween Party on the evening
of Saturday, October 27th, 2007. We will have the standard 17 kegs, 20 gallons
of witches brew, and over one thousand Jello Shots - all included. In addition,
there will also be bottled beer, wine and mixed drinks available at the cash bar, and Designated Drivers can get free soft drinks.
The party will begin around 8:00 p.m., and
will end around 2:00 a.m. If you need a place to stay, try the The Inn at the Ball Park . Oh, and this is a costume party, so please come in a costume. Last year there were 2 people that didn't come in costume, and I am sure they felt very out-of-place being in a bar with 450 other people
that were dressed up. Check out the Pictures Page to see what
some of the costumes looked like.
Where to stay:
Nobody likes to drink and drive (or at least we don't
want you to), so if you are looking for a place to
stay, try the The Inn at the Ballpark. They
have some rooms available and are generously offering them to our
party guests for the super low rate of only $139 for a standard room.
Due to their limited number, guest rooms with 2 guest beds are available upon request at check-in only.
Hurry up and make your reservations
soon, the discount prices are good until October 12, 2007. Remember, you have to tell
the person taking your reservation that you are with the Halloween
Bash to get the cheaper rate. The reservation phone number is 713-228-1520 or 1-866-406-1520.

Jello Shots:
The Jello shots served at the Halloween Party are a tradition. Also
knows as Gary's Famous Flamin' Jello Shots (See them being made for previous years parties), they live up to their
name, are flammable, and will burn with a hot, blue flame at over 100
proof. The XXX Jello Shots are not recommended for people who have been or
will be smoking, people with ulcers, heart or liver conditions, should not
be consumed by anyone planning to drive and will not be served to pregnant
women. The strength of the Jello Shots can be identified as follows:

History:
This is an annual Halloween Party that is hosted by a group of friends. The
parties originated at Scot Pettit and James Pintkowski's apartment when they lived in
College Station. It outgrew the apartments, and in 1992 it was moved to the Beach house in
Galveston. From there it was moved to subdivision clubhouses for 3 years. Once it got
too big for that, it was moved to the Hot Dog Place, then to Paul's Banquet
Hall. Beginning in 1998, we began to rent out the entire Stelters bar, which you may hav
know as Sonora Del Norte. In 2002 Stelters changed it's name (yet again) to Houston's Uptown Banquet Facility.
In 2005, we had to locate to a new venue for our party because of the potential sale of the
old location and we luckily stumbled across the BUS. We hope to be here for many years! We have an
archive of all the past flyers, maps and koozie
designs, as well as pictures from past parties.
